Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of skanivex (skanivex s.r.o.) and its services. By accessing and using our website and participating in our stained glass crafting classes and workshops, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you may not use our services. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of our services constitutes your acceptance of any changes.

Scope of Services

We provide stained glass crafting classes and weekend workshops in Prague, specializing in stained glass panel crafting and soldering technique training. Our services include instructional classes for participants of various skill levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. We offer hands-on training in traditional and contemporary stained glass techniques, including cutting, foiling, soldering, and finishing methods. All classes are conducted at our Prague location and are designed to help participants develop practical skills in this traditional craft.

User Obligations

When participating in our classes, you agree to follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by our instructors. You are responsible for your own conduct and for respecting the property, equipment, and the rights of other participants. You acknowledge that stained glass crafting involves working with glass, heat sources, and soldering equipment, which can be hazardous if not handled properly. By registering for our classes, you confirm that you are physically capable of participating and that you understand the potential risks involved. We require all participants to wear appropriate safety equipment as provided or recommended by our instructors.

Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, designs, and materials provided during our classes, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or transmit any content without our prior written permission. Original designs and techniques taught in our classes remain the intellectual property of our instructors. However, you retain ownership of the stained glass pieces you create during our classes for your personal use. You may not commercially reproduce or sell designs or techniques learned in our classes without explicit written consent from us.

Limitations of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or participation in our classes. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for any injuries, property damage, or losses resulting from your participation in our classes, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law. You participate in our classes at your own risk and assume full responsibility for any damages or injuries that may occur, provided you follow all safety instructions and guidelines.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your access to our services and classes at any time, with or without cause, if you violate these terms or engage in conduct we deem inappropriate or harmful. Upon termination, your right to use our services ceases immediately. Any fees paid are non-refundable unless otherwise required by applicable law. If you wish to withdraw from a class before it begins, you may do so according to our refund policy, which will be provided at the time of registration. We will provide reasonable notice of any policy changes that affect active registrations.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding relating to these terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of the Czech Republic. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of these courts and waive any objection to venue. The application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is excluded from these terms.
